Hearing clarity begins with the right test.
Hearing Tests
Pure-Tone Audiometry Test
Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) is a primary and comprehensive hearing assessment that helps determine the softest sounds a person can hear at various frequencies. This test provides essential information about an individual's hearing abilities and is a vital step in diagnosing hearing-related issues.
Speech Audiometry Test
Speech Audiometry Test is a type of hearing test used to evaluate a person's ability to understand and process spoken language at various volume levels. It is commonly employed by audiologists and hearing healthcare professionals to assess a patient's speech recognition and discrimination abilities.
Impedance Test
An Impedance Test evaluates the middle ear's function by measuring eardrum movement in response to air pressure and sound, helping diagnose hearing issues and middle ear conditions.
Otoacoustic Emissions Test
An Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) test is a diagnostic procedure used to assess the health and function of the inner ear, specifically the cochlea. The cochlea is the spiral-shaped, fluid-filled structure in the inner ear responsible for detecting sound and transmitting auditory signals to the brain.
BERA Test
BERA, or Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry, is a specialized test designed to evaluate the auditory pathway from the inner ear to the brainstem. This non-invasive procedure measures the electrical responses generated by the auditory nerve and brainstem in response to sound stimuli.
ASSR Test
The Auditory Steady-State Response (ASSR) Test is an advanced diagnostic procedure designed to evaluate the hearing function, particularly in individuals who may not respond well to traditional hearing tests.
VEMP (C,O) Test
VEMP, or Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials, is a diagnostic test designed to assess the health and function of the vestibular system, which plays a crucial role in balance and spatial orientation. The VEMP test specifically examines the myogenic potentials generated in response to sound stimuli.
ENG Test
An Electronystagmography (ENG) test assesses balance and inner ear function by tracking involuntary eye movements using electrodes. It detects responses to visual, positional, and temperature stimuli, aiding in diagnosing vertigo, dizziness, and balance-related disorders linked to inner ear issues.
ECochG Test
Electrocochleography (ECochG) is a specialized diagnostic test designed to assess the electrical activity in the inner ear, particularly the cochlea and the auditory nerve. This non-invasive test provides valuable insights into the function of your auditory system.
VNG Test
A Videonystagmography (VNG) test evaluates balance and inner ear function by measuring involuntary eye movements using infrared video goggles, helping diagnose dizziness, vertigo, and balance disorders caused by vestibular or neurological conditions. It replaces the older ENG test.
